September 10, 2017 / Motherhood
My boy is four months! Time has never felt more fleeting that it does as a new mother. I am trying ever so desperately to hang onto the feels, the smells, and the euphoric joys of new motherhood. There’s something about nurturing a new life that is so pure. Life is beautiful through the eyes of such joy and innocence, and I am infinitely grateful to see this world over again through my boy’s eyes. I have been reintroduced to life.
I wanted to share a video with you this time, to talk about everything I’ve been feeling. So many of you have reached out with your own questions on motherhood, so I wanted a place to share my answers in detail. From the realities of breastfeeding, to body changes, to accepting a new normal — I chat about it ALL here, at four months in. Plus, I’m sharing some emotional clips from Evan Grey’s birth (you can read about my full birth story here).
Four months in, and I still think Mamahood is hard. And tiring. And on most days, I am exhausted and covered in spit-up that smells like sour milk. But more so, motherhood is joyful. And gratifying. And full of so much love you’re not sure your body is even capable of surviving such a euphoric feeling.
PS. a full video on my wellness routine post-baby is coming soon…
