Of all the roles I’ve evolved into — wife, mother, colleague, founder — it’s the role of self that always requires the most work.
It’s the role most easily forgotten about between meetings, feedings, packed lunches and full schedules. It’s also the role most often defined by our other titles — somewhere within our bios and accomplishments. But the role of self can never be summed up. Rather, it is ever-evolving and ours to care for.
