Here are the pregnancy pieces I have been wearing non-stop — from my favorite low rise jeans, to stretchy dresses and jumpsuits, to more oversized cozy winter knits as my bump has grown.
I think you’d be surprised how many pieces in your closet work for the first half of pregnancy. Once you really start popping, I love shopping Bumpsuit for one pieces. Hatch is amazing if you’re looking for specific tops/jeans etc… it’s a pregnancy life saver! I love Skims bras and underwear always, but especially while pregnant + postpartum. This fabric fits so comfortably, especially on my growing curves. I’ve been living in this bra, and these thongs. Another favorite – the Eby seamless panties!
Keep scrolling for a round up of my pregnancy must-haves:
LOW/MID RISE DENIM
Comfy denim + an oversized sweatshirt/sweater has become my pregnancy uniform. I’ve been loving low/mid-rise jeans and sizing up two sizes from my usual so they fall nicely on my growing body. These new pairs will also work nicely postpartum rather than trying to fit into my original denim. My go-to styles have been from Levis! Especially this low rise style and this mid rise style.
SKIMS EVERYTHING
Skims makes a lot of my favorite basics, pregnant or not! The fabrics are so buttery and comfortable, I can’t get enough. Skims dresses are amazingggg pregnant. I bought this one before pregnancy, and I’ve been happily surprised at how often I go to pull for it as my body continues to change. So comfortable, flattering, and highlights all of the evolving curves. I’ve also been loving the tank version for layering this winter. I also love their bodysuits + tees. I have this long sleeve bodysuit and this short sleeve tee, both in the same yummy material.
COZY KNITS
The benefit of a cold weather pregnancy – cozy knits! Big warm sweaters over my usual low rise denim or leggings have been making me feel more put together, while still comfortable. Jenni Kayne makes some of my favorite knits, especially this pull over (I have it in two colors) and this cardigan that feels like a blankie. I also love this version – from Amazon!! Another Amazon find: these knit sets. They are perfect for feeling dressed up for work/meetings, while still being comfortable .
JUMPSUITS
I’ve had this jumpsuit from Norma Kamali for years and it’s still my favorite. It’s amazing over a bump too because the fabric is stretchy. I wear my normal size, because the material is very giving. It comes in different variations: this high neck style and this long sleeve version. I’ve also been wearing a lot of workout jumpsuits from Bandier. Another jumpsuit I love – anything from Bumpsuit! They are maternity jumpsuits, which makes them especially great further along in my pregnancy.
WIDE LEG PANTS
I’ve been loving wide leg pants this pregnancy, preferably with an elasticized or drawstring waist. What’s not to love? They’re basically like fancy sweatpants! This linen style from Reformation has been a favorite. I love these ones from Enza Costa when I want to feel more dressed up.
LEGGINGS
Probably the most important part of a pregnancy wardrobe (IYKYK)! This is my 3rd pregnancy, so I’ve pretty much tried them all at this point. The Center Stage leggings from Bandier are some of my favorites, they are super flattering and the fabric is like butter. Another favorite – the Beyond Yoga leggings (size up one size)! Hatch also makes a great legging for the final weeks of pregnancy… I also love them postpartum. Shop them here.
