East’s nursery! Our calming corner room where where we spend our days and nights together and his first earthside home! When designing the space with Mason Ko, we wanted it to have a warmth and coziness to it; a place of calm and rest for us in what is a beautifully tiring season of life. When I would think about my son or daughter to be, I’d daydream about the places we’d go together as a family. hence, the room was inspired around this whimsical idea of adventure and travel. We added floating hot air balloons, plush stuffed trees and travel books, and pops of sage green that felt reminiscent of nature. The green drapery over east’s crib reminds me of the softness and stillness that is new motherhood.
The space leaves room for evolution as we get to know our son! To add more patterns and colors in time, as we grow together and get to know each other – the best part! We snapped these photos before he was born, and it’s definitely the most organized the room will ever look!
